Clinics

Ames High School softball coach Gary Gorman will host two softball camps for area girls. Camp for girls in grades 6-8 will be held March 1st, 2nd and 4th at Ames Middle School. Camp for girls in grades 2-5 will be held at a later date. Please click on the Clinics link to download the registration form.

DIVISIONS

The AGSA supports both a fastpitch recreational league for girls 4 through 16, and competitive ASA JO tournament teams in the 10 & under, 12 & under, and 14 & under divisions. The AGSA also supports a Spring and Fall League for area softball teams.

PURPOSE AND GOALS

The purpose of this Association, as a non-profit organization, shall be to instruct and preserve a girls softball program, and their related activities, in the City of Ames.

Our goals are to promote girls softball and sportsmanship in all areas of the game of softball for the City of Ames.

AGSA encourages the involvement of women in all aspects of AGSA operations including board membership, coaching and umpiring.

MEMBERSHIP AND PARTICIPATION

Applications for membership in the girls softball program are done yearly. Any girl between ages 4 an 16 are eligible to attend games and participate in the games.

The AGSA has served the Ames Community since 1973.
